First Snowblower Test on My Kioti DK 5320SE Tractor

Today was an exciting day—I finally got to attach and test out my new 72-inch front-mount snowblower on the Kioti DK 5320SE tractor! After waking up to about 4 inches of fresh snow, it felt like the perfect opportunity to give this attachment its first run.

Installation Insights

Installation was fairly straightforward, although the instructions provided weren't very helpful. I ended up figuring things out myself and learned a few important lessons:

  • Bumper Compatibility: The front bumper (or grill guard) doesn't fit with the snowblower mount installed. I'll have to explore modifications—possibly grinding or painting—to resolve this since I'd prefer to keep the bumper attached.

  • Hydraulic Hose Check: The hydraulic chute rotation initially wouldn't work, causing some frustration. After nearly two hours of troubleshooting, I discovered the issue was a hydraulic hose not fully connected. Important lesson learned: always double-check your hydraulic connections!

Snowblower Performance

Once everything was sorted out, the snowblower performed perfectly. The hydraulic chute rotation and deflection worked smoothly, making snow clearing easy and efficient—even in chilly 9-degree weather. Despite the cold, the DK 5320SE tractor paired with the snowblower attachment made quick work of clearing my driveway.

Future Improvements

Since I'll be frequently switching attachments, I'm planning to build a small jig to easily roll the undercarriage in and out for removal. This will significantly simplify changing between my loader and snowblower.

Final Thoughts

Overall, this initial experience with the snowblower was fantastic, despite a few hiccups. I'm excited to see how it handles heavier snowfall later this season.
